Child safety
Last updated: July 29, 2026
EURUS is used by families, teachers, and students. Children’s safety and best interests take priority over engagement or growth.
Who may use EURUS
Independent accounts are for people age 13 or older, subject to the higher minimum age in their country. Children under 13 may participate only through a school-, teacher-, parent-, or guardian-managed classroom experience where the responsible adult has authority to provide any required permission.
Classroom protections
- Students identify using first name and last initial—not email.
- Classroom sessions cannot enter stranger matchmaking or stranger voice chat.
- Teachers control which games and class periods students can access.
- Student performance is visible to the responsible teacher and authorized school users.
- Voice features are off by default and are not enabled for classroom/student sessions.
Communication and VS safety
Optional untranslated voice chat is available to eligible VS players. It remains unavailable to classroom and student sessions.
- Microphone access must be voluntarily enabled for each session.
- Voice starts off. Players can mute, leave, or report.
- Sexual content involving minors, grooming, threats, bullying, requests for personal contact details, and attempts to move children to another service are prohibited.
- We may preserve relevant account and report records when needed to investigate a safety complaint or meet legal obligations.
Parents, guardians, and schools
A parent, guardian, or authorized school representative may request access to, correction of, or deletion of a child’s information. Schools should use classroom mode rather than creating independent accounts for children under 13.
Report a child-safety concern
If someone is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services. For a EURUS safety concern, use the safety report form. Include the username, game or match, approximate time, and what happened. Do not submit unnecessary sensitive information.
